Trip around the world
We are Carine and Manu and we live in Figeac (France). We are 47 and 54 years old respectively. We have been preparing for this trip for ten years and have left since August 8, 2021. We sail on a monohull sailboat of the brand Bénéteau, it is an Oceanis 390 of 1990. It is called CREA (these are our initials 😉). Here we are and our friends accompany us in photo 🤗🤗🤗 !
We left without a return date, we are taking the time ! We are not going to do the transat this year but rather enjoy the west coast of Africa with the different islands that we find there (Minorca, Majorca, Canary Islands, Madeira, the Azores and lower the Cape Verde and then go to Senegal and the Gambia). I intend to place a painted rock on all the islands and countries where we will pass.
We practice kite surfing, paragliding and also scuba diving 🤿. We have the equipment for these three activities on board so the boat is well loaded ! As for our sailing experience...well we are from LOT so it is not great !!! We learn as we progress and make mistakes ! But overall it’s going well 👌 !
End of August: Minorca and Majorca.
Early September: Head for Ibiza !
Beginning of November: around Malaga
Mid-December, the Canaries
